 Ch 15- retailing  Josue Gomez Coca cola is best retailed with its marketing and collaboration's. this creates brand recognition. such marketing includes Santa clause during the Christmas season, celebrity appearances where they hold a coke, or apparel collaborations where they put the soda logo or some sort of design to promote the product.

  Ch. 4 - The Marketing Environment   Josue Gomez     Coca cola main target markets are young adults as every ad is shown with celebrity's, concerts and events, and social gatherings.  coca cola even goes even further with the advertisements buy going after social media to appeal to their young adults. coke iconic bottle is also changing in occasions to appear more vibrant and to make young adults feel more included. when it comes to fast food, coke is the choice of beverage a majority of young people go for.

  Ch. 11 - Developing and Managing Products     Josue Gomez          coca cola was invented by john Pemberton, who was a pharmacist from Atlanta in 1886. the original recipe was made for curing headaches and fatigue as its original recipe also included cocaine. coca cola got its name from its ingredients, the coca leaf.  while difficult to pinpoint the exact date of marketing, the beverage was a major success in 1886. and in 1893, coca cola was officially trademarked. in 1892, the coca cola company was founded, and distribution happened, and bottling agreements was signed for coca cola to be sold outside of soda fountains. in the 1900s, bottle operations spread to Canada, Mexico, and Europe. now, coca cola is the leading beverage corporations dominating the markets with other beverages made under the coke name such as sprite, Fanta, Powerade, coke zero, etc.

Ch. 3 - Ethics and Social Responsibility Josue Gomez             on July  10th , 2014 , coca cola bottling plant in India  was forced to shut down due to drawing huge amount of groundwater . with India's  water supplies already being scarce, and farmers needing water for crops, this negatively  impacts coca cola as a company as they use 3 liters of water to make one liter of coke. coca cola has responded with helping build water infrastructure  near coca cola plants and have also committed  to replenish the water used for making coca cola. although negative , it is worth to note that coca cola has taken accountability  and addressed the backlash.

Chapter 2- strategic planning for competitive advantage Josue Gomez     Strength: marketing- coca cola as a brand is no stranger to collaborations. From celebrity sponsors such as singer Rosalia, Selena Gomez, even Elvis Presley. in addition, during Christmas season, coca cola has Santa heavily marketed with a coke at all times.  products- coca cola is not just beverage. it's a brand. with drinks such as sprite, ginger ale, and Fanta orange, people have option's that go beyond just coca cola.  the name- coca cola is a strong name when it comes the industry. as it is most well-known and well received with consumers and investors.      weakness health and safety- with health concerns surrounding coke products, it negatively affects the brand.  packaging- all coke products are packaged in plastic and cans which can be harmful to the environment if not disposed of properly.
